Career Coaching

During BCF Career Event you van meet a Career Coach 1-on-1 for a coaching session. In a short amount of time, career coaching can help you with dilemma’s and practical questions about careers. In a talk of 20 minutes visitors could get individual advice from one of the experienced Career Coaches of ‘Een wereld van verschil’ (translates to ‘A world of difference). They asked questions which make you think and offer you practical advice that can help you make the next step. Subjects were: What can be the next step in my career? How can I combine my ambitious job with my desire to have children? How can I make optimal use of networking?

Career Coaching during BCF Career Event is offered to you by:

Geraldine Sinnema
Career Consultant, coach and trainer (1966)

Geraldine Sinnema is the director of Een wereld van verschil (A World of Difference).

"Originally educated as a sociologist, I have now found my niche in providing personal career development counselling.  I feel privileged to be able to accompany people on a stretch of their life path and to be one of the instruments to have helped during a particular stage. I work since 1993 as a career consultant, coach and trainer.  I am a member of the NOLOC, Association for Career Guidance Professionals.

Through the years I have developed a positive, open attitude,  I am a woman who listens, asks stimulating questions, is empathic, holds up a mirror and challenges you. My strong point is being able to translate insight about people into practical advice that can help you to reach your goals.  I use my clarity, empathy and creativity to make a true difference.  I thoroughly enjoy seeing people discover something new about themselves during our sessions.

As I see it, the basis of career counselling is (re)discovering your own desires and strengths and assuming your responsibility.  In my role as trainer and coach, I stimulate you to be authentic and to take steps to achieve that which you really desire.

Besides my work, I love reading, photography and travel.  A number of years ago I travelled through Australia and Southeast Asia for five months. I have a 5 year old daughter."

Jettie van den Houdt
Trainer and coach (1956)

"Originally educated as a biologist I have found my passion in training and coaching people. I manage my own firm since 2002 and work in partnership with other trainers and coaches. My speciality is taking people for a walk through nature. I put them physically in motion to achieve mental movement. I always enjoy the results. I am a member of NVO2, Professional Association for Human Resource Development.

For me giving you your own voice (back) is the main goal of my career counselling. The result is that you are better visible and effective. You take your own responsibility for your career, based on your passion and inspiration. You are going to take the next step on your path with confidence.

I am a good listener, I ask questions and confront you with your own behaviour. My strong point is my positive attitude. I focus mainly on your qualities and try to improve them by encouraging you to use them more strongly and openly.

Beside my work I enjoy walking in nature everywhere. I love reading, watching films and have contacts with friends."

The result is that you work with confidence, dare to make steps and and up with something that suit you completely.

After that I followed an education in coaching and counseling and started my own business. As a I coach I both use the business and pragmatism part in myself as the empathic part.

Ruur Boersma
Coach and trainer (1956)

I studied Plantsciences at Wageningen University. As a lecturer and later as a studyadvisor at Wageningen University, I worked a lot with students. Personal development was fascinating me more and more, so in 2001 I changed my career to professional coaching. As a careercoach I support people in different disciplines.

I am NOLOC recognised Careercoach, member of the LVSC, certified Enneagramcoach, and Logosynthese practitioner.

What makes me happy is that I can support you to discover your inner power and your inner purpose. I focus on possibilties and qualities, while I value every persons uniqueness. I can help you to reduce inner blockades for reaching your purpose by the very effective method of Logosynthesis. My guidance is characterised by a powerful vitality and a loving attention. For me important in coaching is to bring balance between thinking and feeling, between head and heart. To enhance this I often use methods to develop more body consciousness.

Besides the fascination for human beings, I feel a strong connection with nature, e.g. when I work in my garden or walk in the river surroundings.
